Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of our website and services. By booking an appointment or using our site, you agree to the following:
1. Service Scope
SoHay Notary provides notarial services in accordance with California law. We do not provide legal advice or draft legal documents.
2. Appointments & Fees
- Prices are listed clearly per service.
- Travel, document count, and add-ons may affect total pricing.
- If you’re unsure of what service you need, please contact us before booking.
3. Cancellations & Refunds
- Cancellations made 24 hours or more in advance may be refunded, minus a cancellation fee of 50%.
- Same-day cancellations or no-shows are non-refundable.
- We offer a one-time courtesy rescheduling for no fee if made 24 hours or more prior to the scheduled appointment. (Rescheduled appointments are not refundable)
4. Client Responsibility
- You must bring valid, government-issued photo ID for all signers.
- Documents must be completed (but unsigned) before your appointment.
- It is your responsibility to know which type of notarization your document requires (e.g. jurat vs acknowledgment).
5. Limitation of Liability
We are not responsible for errors on client documents or for notarizations rejected due to improper completion by the document originator. Our role is to verify identity and witness signatures in compliance with California law.
